Businessman and author Ram Gidoomal is the main speaker at a seminar planned by Bradford QED on Friday.
Mr Gidoomal will talk at a seminar about the competitive edge of Asian businesses and the role of business support agencies.
The QED seminar, sponsored by Business Link Bradford & District, is from 6.30pm-9.30pm at the city's Cedar Court Hotel, Mayo Avenue. It is expected to attract over 200 delegates including Asian businesses in West Yorkshire and representatives of business support agencies including banks, accountants, solicitors, Business Links, TECs and Chamber of Commerce.
QED's chief executive, Dr Mohammed Ali said: "There are an estimated 80,000 Asian businesses across the UK which employ around 300,000 people and annually contribute £35 billion to the UK economy.
"In Bradford District alone, their combined turnover is over £1 billion and they employ an estimated 9,000 people."
Steve Szostak, chief executive of Business Link Bradford & District commented on his delight to be sponsoring this seminar and confirmed: "This is only a part of Business Link's specialised and ongoing support for ethnic minority businesses."
