Police have arrested a 34-year-old local man in connection with a fatal road accident at the weekend.
Robert Watmuff, 21, of Hornsea Drive, Wilsden, died when he and a friend were struck by a vehicle.
His close friend Daniel Claughton, 18, of Thackley, is still at home recovering from his injuries.
Daniel suffered cuts to his shoulder and back, and bruises to his calf and shoulder and has no memory of the incident.
He said: "I remember going to a club and then leaving to get something to eat.
"We decided to walk home because Robert had done it plenty of times before.
"After that, I don't remember anything about the walk or being knocked over."
The men had been walking home from a Bingley nightclub to Harden in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Robert was a pupil at Cullingworth Parkside and Bingley Grammar Schools.
He left school to work in a pet shop in John Street Market and then worked as a delivery driver at GDB clothing manufacturers in Girlington.
Officers investigating the incident are urging motorists and anyone who was near Harden Road between 1.30am and 3am on Saturday to contact them.
