Winger Peter Beagrie has today made a shock switch to Premiership strugglers Everton.
Bradford City chairman Geoffrey Richmond says the 32-year-old will be on loan to the Goodison Park club until the end of the season with the Bantams receiving a 'substantial' payment as part of the deal.
And if Everton stay up, City will receive a further payment for Beagrie before the player's future is decided during the summer.
The City chief said: "There was an initial enquiry by Howard Kendall to Paul Jewell earlier in the week which he followed up this morning. There is no agreement beyond the end of the season."
Beagrie is a former favourite at Goodison Park after making 114 appearances and scoring 11 goals in a three-year spell. He moved to Manchester City for £1.1 million.
