A GROUP of dinner ladies from Yeadon and Rawdon were celebrating this week after scooping almost £140,000 on the lottery.
The 17-strong syndicate, which also includes three caretakers, won £138,153 after getting five numbers and the bonus ball in Saturday's National Lottery draw.
The lucky winners, who each get £8,126, all work at Rawdon's Benton Park School and are planning a celebratory knees-up tomorrow night.
Syndicate head Christine Lawrence, who also works as a cleaner at Yeadon South View Infant School, collected their winnings on Tuesday morning.
Mrs Lawrence, 42, who lives in Yeadon, said on Tuesday: "I'm still up there on cloud nine.
"We're all going out together to one of the local pubs on Saturday night to celebrate, have a good time and enjoy each other's company."
She added: "The syndicate started just over a year ago and this is the third time we've had five numbers up - the first two times we won about £600 and £2,100 - but this time we got the bonus ball as well."
