Dougie Lampkin crashed with David Cobos in an arena trial deciding race last week in Italy.
Both picked up bumps and bruises after the young Spanish star lost control of his factory machine and fell into the path of the pursuing Lampkin.
Both went down in a tangle of machines, Dougie collecting a bruised foot and Cobos injuring his elbow.
Dougie went on to win in the final from Bruno Camozzi and Cobos.
The British sidecar trials champion warmed up on Sunday at Honiton which was won by Steve Radford who beat Robin Luscombe and Wayne Kershaw for the top award. The Cullingworth rider now holds third place in the championship with 30 points while Radford moves into the lead with Robin Morewood in second spot.
Dan Clark's hopes of a repeat victory in the National Cleveland Trial fell apart at the last section when he failed the last climb, handing victory to his former tutor, Wayne Braybrook, after leading from the eleventh hill.
l Sisters Rachael and Stephanie Simmonite started their assault on the Mobil 1 Rally Championship in style by finishing 8th overall on the 500-mile Rally of Wales.
The Keighley Motor Club members lead the ladies championship with 16 points in their Ford Escort, ahead of Barbara Armstrong (Seat) and Natalie Barratt (Honda Civic).
Former World Ladies rally champion Louise Aitken-Walker is working with the Simmonite team.
