OXENHOPE runner David Tate was third veteran in the five mile 'Help the Aged' run at Leeds.
Dave, 49, was one of over 300 runners who took part in therace and raised over £2,500 for the chairty.
A hard training schedule also paid off for Keighley and Craven AC's Richard Nelson. He clocked 1hr 20mins for a great seventh in the Oldham half-marathon.
On a busy weekend of Wuthering Hike and national Cross Country championships in Leeds, the club had a small team running the Sheffield Way over two days. The 45-mile route, which includes the Derbyshire Peak District, took around 10 hours running time. Taking part were Charlie Marshall, Mick Sumpter, Pete Fisher, Keith Waddingham, Tony Minnikin and Colin Crane.
The introductory offer of club vests at £8 closes at the end of next month.
Light nights mean a return of the popular midweek Pub Runs starting next Wednesday from Cowling's Black Bull (the one on the Colne side where the Pennine Way crosses the main road.) The itinerary includes some of the best real ale pubs in Keighley and Craven and runs until the end of September. All runs will leave the pub car park at 6.45 prompt.
Next month's programme is: Wednesday, Black Bull, Cowling. April 8, Elm Tree, Embsay. April 9, Willow Tree, Riddlesden. April 15, White Lion, Kildwick. April 16, Ling Bob, Wilsden. April 22, Tempest, Elslack. April 23, Turkey, Goose Eye. April 30, Hare and Hounds, Lothersdale. All runners, of any standard, are welcome to take part.
Over 70 young athletes to part in the third event of the McDonald's Multi-Terrain Championships at Greenhead Track las Sunday. The event included a 1000m race for Under-9's and 1-mile for Under- 11s and Under-13's. Athletes who have won the previous two races, on grass and on the road, slipped up on the track throwing the overall championship wide open.
There is one more race in the competition with competitors taking part in a Race Walk on the track at Horsfall Playing Fields on April 19.
Medals for Sunday's event were presented by James Garton Manager of McDonalds in Keighley.

Under-11 boys: 1 Zac Loker (Keighley) 6.09; 2 Michael Loughline (Bingley) 6.16
