A record number of 23 schools entered the 30th Bradford Schools' Table Tennis Championships at Eccleshill.
This event has paved the way for many winners to go on and represent England, and this year's championships were no exception.
The youngest finalist on the show was eight-year-old Andrew Denny from Eldwick First School. His cloud had a silver lining as he reached three finals and won three silver medals.
Outstanding girl was 11-year-old Nicola White, of Bradford Girls' Grammar School. She won three gold medals by winning two singles and a doubles with Heather Shutt, also from Bradford Girls' Grammar and just nine years old.
Nicola's brother David took the honours among the boys. The 13-year-old Bradford Boys' Grammar School pupil won three golds by winning the under-13 and under-15 singles and the under-13 doubles with Alex Runham, 13, and also from Bradford Boys.
Outstanding newcomers were Bingley Grammar School. In the under-15 girls' finals, Elizabeth Owen beat her doubles partner Claire Watson for the gold and they were runners-up in the under-19 doubles.
Katie Lightowler, ten, from Glusburn Middle School, took a silver in the under-13 girls' singles, and the under-19 boys' singles went to 14-year-old James Lister from South Craven School.
Bradford Boys' Grammar School had the largest entry and set the highest standards with David White (three gold), Stephen Den-ny (one gold, one silver), Alex Runham (one gold) and Matthew Cordingley (one silver) clinching the best team award.
Bradford Girls' Grammar were the second best team, Queensbury were third, Bingley Grammar School fourth, and South Craven fifth.
