An eastender who settled in Keighley has celebrated her 90th birthday in fine style.
Agnes Richards, of St Peter's Court in Keighley, toasted her 90th birthday with friends at a party in her honour at the Keighley social centre for the blind. She is pictured left with Sandra Brigg, the blind association's youngest member.
Agnes told us: "I owe a lot of thanks to all my friends here and the staff at the centre.
"I still miss the east end of London but I like it in Keighley and I have made a lot of friends here over the years."
Agnes was born in Poplar in the east end, and first came to Keighley during the first world war. After the war she married William and the couple moved back to London. When he died 15 years ago Agnes moved back to Keighley.
