Wayne Walsh twice put Hare & Hounds ahead against Shamrock Rovers, but the visitors equalised twice and threatened to take a point until Martin Clapham scored in the dying moments to give Hounds three vital Division 3B points. Shamrocks must now win the return clash on Thursday or Hounds will lift the title.
Fire Brigade A moved into second spot in Division 2A with a 7-2 win at Eccleshill CC, who battled well in the second half after going 4-0 down. Andy Maltby got both Eccleshill goals but they were outgunned by Lee Robinson (3), Paul Cator (2), Chris Cooney and Danny Grimshaw.
