Lee Crooks re-building process at Cougar Park was set to move into top gear today with their second Super League capture inside 24 hours.
After completing the signing of Wigan prop Lee Hansen on Monday night they today landed former Castleford and Halifax centre Grant Anderson.
And there were strong rumours of another deal with former St Helens, Leeds and Warrington forward George Mann believed to be the man in their sights.
It will almost certainly signal the end for some of the current senior squad likely to move on in the next few days.
Cougars football chairman Allan Clarkson was delighted with developments.
"Lee Hansen is a tremendous signing for us and gives us the power we have been lacking. There was interest from Salford and Warrington as well as from other First Division clubs."
