Athletics: Stevie Green and Colin Moore helped Bingley Harriers' cause in a Northern Men's League Division 3C fixture at South Leeds Stadium.
Green won the 5000 metres, while Moore was runner-up, this time to Gareth Raven of East Cheshire in the 1500m.
There were victories for Ian Lindley in the shot and Sam Broadley in the hammer.
Sam completed a busy afternoon with fourth in the discus and second in the shot after competing in the 200m and being part of the winning 4x100m squad with Alex Wilkinson, Eddie Spencer and Graham Parlett.
Keighley and Craven travelled to Rotherham for their Division 5SE fixture, and enjoyed improved form.
They had event winners in Alfie Atkinson (1500m), Martin McLennan (100m) and their 4x400m team of Adrian Jones, Atkinson, Mark Wycherley and Martin McLennan.
Three local clubs are struggling to make an impact in a demanding Division 2C.
Keith McGhie (Spen) continues to impress in the one-lap events, while the throwing battles between Roger Hunter of Skyrac and Longwood's Alan Marriott are a feature.
Hunter had an inspired afternoon, winning discus, javelin and the shot.
The Aire 5km race series ended in a blaze of glory. Green scorched around the Esholt circuit in a new course record, breaking Wayne Aylesbury's previous best by 38 seconds.
He was chased hard all the way by teammate and mentor Moore, who in turn was over half a minute clear of John Convery (Leeds City).
Bingley's Fred Gibbs had a superb run of 17-21 to take the over-55s title. Fred celebrates his 60th birthday next month, and only recently became the Northern Veterans' Half Marathon champion with a time of 1-17-42 in the East Cheshire Half.
Fell specialist Victoria Wilkinson blasted a new course record in the ladies' race.
The 19-year-old used the event as a speed session in preparation for the European Mountain Trials at Sedbergh next week, where she hopes to be one of the four selected for the trip to Italy next month.
The overall 5km series went to second-placed Marie Hart (Leeds City), who had won the previous two races.
However, Wyke housewife Kath Drake had every reason to feel pleased with her performance.
After winning the Skipton Tough Ten a day earlier, the Spen runner finished second in the Otley Chevin Fell Race before this race.
