Coach Lee Crooks is hoping to turn Keighley Cougars into the best side in the First Division after extending his contract until the end of 1999.
The former Great Britain international took charge at Cougar Park in March after a poor start to the season had left the club rock-bottom of the First Division.
Crooks signed a deal until the end of this season but after sitting down with the directors last week, he decided to extend his deal.
And he signed the new contract at last night's launch of Cougar Teambuilder, which the club hope will raise vital funds to help Crooks bring new players to Keighley.
Speaking after the launch, a delighted Keighley coach said: "I have enjoyed my time with Keighley and am pleased to have signed the contract because it means we can now start planning long-term. The players also wanted to know what is happening at the club.
"The majority have deals until the end of this year so we can now sit down and discuss the future. I have already started planning as to who I want to bring for next season.
"I have learned a lot since joining Keighley and the players have responded in the best way."
