Former Bradford City midfielder Shaun Murray is today being linked with a move to Second Division new boys Notts County.
The 28-year-old was not offered a new contract by the Bantams this summer and under the Bosman Ruling he is available on a free transfer.
Scarborough, Hartlepool and Second Division Chesterfield are interested in the diminutive midfielder who joined City in 1994.
County boss Sam Allardyce is on holiday at the moment but sources in Nottingham say Murray has spoken to the club at their Meadow Lane ground.
Meanwhile, City have been told that their home games will not clash with Leeds United's matches at Elland Road next season.
And chairman Geoffrey Richmond believes it could act as a boost for the Bantams average crowd due to the number of fans in West Yorkshire who watch both clubs.
He said: "We played at home on the same day four or five times last season and we believe it benefits both clubs to avoid a repeat. I believe anything up to 1,000 fans probably support both clubs."
City's fixture list is expected to be published next week.
