Bulls chairman Chris Caisley has hit out at the side's critics and declared: "We won't be a one-season wonder."

As the champions put their dented reputation on the line against Grand Final favourites Wigan at Odsal, the Bulls boss has slammed the so-called experts who appear to be writing them off already.

"I get the feeling that there are people who would love to see 8,000 fans at tonight's game and they would use it as confirmation that our bubble has burst.

"Yet these are the same people who held us up as an example to the rest of Super League. It the old British syndrome of building someone up and then taking great pleasure in knocking them down."

Sky Sports commentary team Eddie Hemmings and Mike Stephenson took the brunt of the attack, with Caisley adding: "Tweedledee and Tweedledum are loving it, and it is all so negative.

"They make no mention of the horrendous injury problems we have had and they are constantly questioning our coach's selections, which is disappointing because they couldn't get enough of him on their show last season.

"I am sure our fans have more about them though. We understand their frustrations, but they are some of the best fans in sport and I don't think they are the type to walk away from us now."

Elliott is keeping tonight's line-up under wraps, but it appears Shaun Edwards has finally been ruled out with a sternum injury.

James Lowes is set to play, despite not being 100 per cent fit, and Kevin Crouthers is recalled after his loan spell at Keighley as doubts continue over Matt Calland.

The Bulls go into a match as underdogs for the first time in several months and have received 12 points start on one handicap coupon.
