Local youngsters active in their community could win an award from Keighley Lions.
Teenagers could be honoured for helping the elderly or disabled, promoting heal-thy lifestyles and doing conservation or crime prevention work. The successful Keighley entrant could win £500 for his or her work, and an extra £1,000 if the Multiple District Final is won.
Winners, who must be aged 15-19, will also get the chance to attend a youth camp.
The Lions run the competition each year to pay tribute to kind-hearted local youngsters willing to help people. The club sponsors young people who have demonstrated a commitment to the Lions ideal of service to the community.
Entrants will be judged on how much community service they give, leadership qualities, personality and how they will spend the prize. Anyone interested in the award should phone Mr Redman on 609071.
