Post office workers have been busy delivering money to local charities this week as part of a fundraising venture.
Employees at four post offices in the Keighley area took part in the Goodwill Week, alongside other post offices stretching from the Scottish borders down to Lincolnshire.
Staff at the post office in Cross Hills laced up their walking boots for a climb up Pen-y-ghent, which raised more than £1,100 for the Manorlands hospice at Oxenhope. Postmistress Sharon Smith says: "Everyone did superbly well."
A raffle and collection box at Oakworth post office also raised £103 for Manorlands, and in keeping with the spirit of the week two guides donned fancy dress for the occasion.
Malcolm Dobinson, sub postmaster at East Morton, was also involved in the fundraising with a sponsored scramble up Morton Beck. The £351 raised will be used by the Morton Village Society to maintain the village green.
A collection at Cowling post office managed to raise £36 for the local youth club.
Don Grey, regional general manager for Post Office Counters, says: "A tremendous amount of work is carried out by our staff and sub post masters to support the areas they serve."
Last year, more than £25,000 was raised during Goodwill Week, by post offices in the North East region.
