Keighley artist Jacqueline Leech has been chosen as a finalist in the BBC Gardeners' World Live Student Garden Design competition.
For her inspiration, Jacquel-ine, pictured right, used the West Norfolk Coast as the competition theme of a 'Sense of Place'. Jacquel-ine's garden will be built for Gardeners' World Live at the NEC in Birmingham from June 10-14 with two other finalists.
Judging will take place on Wednesday. The winner will receive £1,000 prize money and two runners-up £500 each.
For two years Jacqueline has studied at Askham Bryan College in York for a Garden Design Certificate and Hort-iculture at Harlow Carr Botan-ical Gardens in Harrogate. She also has a degree in art and design. She was entered into the competition through Askham Bryan College.
Jacqueline, who has lived in Keighley for 20 years, says: "I designed the garden as a place to hide and relax, an oasis of calm."

Jacqueline has lived in Keighley for 20 years, she grew up on the West Norfolk Coast and has spent several days there collecting materials for the construction of the garden. Gardeners World Magazine contribute £3000 to each of the three finalists for the construction of the gardens in the NEC.
