Bradford bosses are being given a chance to tap into a new export area by going on a trade mission to China.
It is being organised by the Chambers' International Trade Department - part of Bradford-based Chamber Management Services - the organisation behind Bradford, Leeds and York and North Yorkshire chambers of commerce.
The mission will be based in China's top business centre, Shanghai, from September 21 to 25. Shanghai is in China's Jiangsu Province on the country's booming East Coast.
The package on offer from the Chamber includes a chance to make contacts with Chinese firms before setting off on the trip.
There will also be a subsidised translation of each firm's company profile and a £600 travel grant from the Department of Trade and Industry.
Claire Teasdale, the Chamber's international trade executive, said today: "This year has been designated Britain in China Year and this means that the Chamber's trade mission is taking place when British firms will have a high profile.
"China is a great opportunity for any company operating in almost any sector from financial services and retail to automotive components, pollution control systems and machine tools."
Britain is already the leading European investor in China with around 2,000 British joint ventures. Last year saw a rise in UK exports of 5.1 per cent.
"Britain's stake in China cannot be overestimated. A new business-driven relationship is developing between the two countries after the hand over of Hong Kong," she added.
