BINGLEY HARRIER Mick Hawkins will be out to regain his crown in the William Hill Man v Horse marathon this weekend.
In 1995 he was a member of the first team to beat the horses in a gruelling test over the Welsh moors, last year the horses won the annual tussle.
Keighley & Craven Athletics Club also have a good record in the event, having come second to the Croasdale Crusaders for the last three years. This year the team consists of Alfie Atkinson, Craig Bottomley and Mark Sandamas.
Individual runners will also cover the 22 mile course and if one of them can beat the horse they will pick up £10,000 from the sponsors.
