Undersea treasure hunter Keith Jessop is notching up another first for Keighley.

The man dubbed the 'Steptoe of the world's oceans' is to stage an after-dinner-speaker event at Cougar Park, Keighley, on Tuesday, June 23.

Diners will watch a video of his exploits - never before seen in public - and hear from Keith himself about the dangers of the deep and stories from his recently-released autobiography 'Goldfinder'.

The book has already proved popular, selling well in local bookshops.

Keith says: "I'm a Keighley lad and was absolutely delighted that the national launch of my book was in Keighley. This event is another first for the town."

The cost to attend the event is £30 which includes a three-course meal in the restaurant at Cougar Park and a copy of the book with a personal message of your choice from Keith. If a couple want to book then the price is £45.

Seventy tickets are available and can be ordered by calling 01535 648558. Order forms can be provided for the personalised message.

Cougars' Mike Smith says: "We think this a great joint venture. It's a first for us as well.
