A man was taken to hospital with burns to his leg after removing a flaming grill pan from a house. Darren Croft, 33, was taken to Airedale Hospital for treatment to burns on his right leg.
Firefighters from Keighley were called to the fire at 11.30pm last Thursday. Mr Croft had removed the burning grill pan from a house in Hainworth Wood Road.
Station officer Andy Newman says: "The fire was caused by a build-up of fat in the grill pan which ignited. It is important that people make sure their grill pans are cleaned properly and have smoke detectors fitted."
Firefighters from Keighley were called out to a burning Jaguar which had been stolen and left in Utley cemetery before being set alight around 12.30am last Friday.
