Antiques expert and TV personality Eric Knowles has agreed to be a celebrity contributor to the 1999 Bronte Experience tourism brochure.
Preparations are well under way for the third annual edition of the popular full-colour brochure - the only tourism publication which specifically promotes the Bronte Country region.
The brochure, with a print run of 80,000, is again being produced by ADVentura, the publishing arm of Cullingworth marketing and public relations agency The Jackson Partnership.
Mr Knowles is a leading authority on 18th-20th century decorative arts, European and Oriental ceramics from the 17th-20th centuries, and the glass of Tiffany and Lalique. He is best known for his regular appearances on the BBC television series Antiques Roadshow and his appearances at East Riddlesden Hall in antiques roadshow events.
Robin Jackson, senior partner with The Jackson Partnership, says: "We are delighted with Eric's support, especially in view of the fact that Bronte Country has a long and distinguished heritage in the field of antiques, both in tourist attractions like our castles and historic halls and the antique shops in the area. We are lining up other celebrity contributors for the 1999 brochure as we strive to enhance its appeal and impact to attract more visitors to the area.
