A Bradford Council scheme that provides work for disabled people is planning to expand after running for only a year.
The Industrial Services Group - formed after the disbanding of ISCO 5 - has set out a blueprint for its future as a strong manufacturing business.
The Council is responsible for the organisation's two factories at Paddock, Frizinghall and Venture House, Laisterdyke, which produce PVC doors and windows and cleaning materials.
But the group's new business plan for the coming year includes moving its successful mailing and packaging business from Venture House to premises in the city. The group says the move would cut overheads and create a more flexible working base.
As part of the move it will end its commercial storage function and concentrate on developing a new joinery workshop.
Workers would make products for housing, schools, community centres and general sale. The group would also look at the feasibility of door production.
Councillor Dave Green, chairman of the Council's regeneration sub-committee, said: "This has been a very productive first year for ISG. The Council's aim has always been for the group to be run as a successful commercial enterprise and the latest figures are very encouraging for us.
"All the work put into rationalising the operation, reorganising the management structure and introducing new products has been worthwhile as the group is now in a strong position to move forward.''
