Bradford Bulls go in search of the win at Headingley tonight which could re-ignite their season.

Five defeats have left them off the Super League pace and have seen them branded as one season wonders.

But as disappointing as their form has undoubtedly been the mood around Odsal would be lifted immeasurably overnight if they can dent the Rhinos early season charge.

And, to add extra spice to a derby clash which rarely disappoints the Bulls have an old score to settle following a shock 26-6 defeat by their deadly rivals back in April.

That night they were caught on the hop by the Rhinos' physical presence under new Aussie coach Graham Murray and they know they must do much better on that front tonight as well as finding a way to contain Leeds' hat-trick hero of that Odsal success Iestyn Harris.

The response of Bulls skipper Graeme Bradley could also be well worth keeping an eye on as a heavy tackle from ex-Keighley forward Darren Fleary left him nursing a badly broken nose and set the tone for the previous encounter.

"It certainly represents a big challenge for us but it is the sort of game that I relish and I am sure that my players do too," said Bulls coach Matthew Elliott.

"We have to put things into perspective, we were playing the bottom team last week and we are up against the pacesetters tonight. We will have to a play a lot better if we are to get the result at Headingley.

"I have said many times since I came here that there has never been a lack of ability in the Leeds team.

"What they have got at the moment is a structure that they believe in and they are working very hard for each other."

Elliott has hinted at a tactical change with Robbie Paul switching to scrum-half and teenager Paul Deacon moving to the bench.

"I was pleased with the performance of Paul Deacon last week," explained Elliott. "I have a very high expectancy of him and I think that the bigger the challenge, the more he will respond.

"Playing Robbie at half-back is an option, but Paul will definitely play at some stage in the match."

The talented Bulls Academy side face their biggest test of the season when they take on leaders Leeds in the curtain-raiser (5.45pm).
