AEROBATICS team The Red Arrows will be stopping off at Leeds Bradford International Airport this weekend to make a presentation to a special fan.
The world-famous team will be staying Saturday night at the airport before putting on a display at Redcar so members can make a presentation to cancer patient, nine year old Jayne Allen from Keighley.
Jayne, who has been receiving treatment at St James's Hospital, Leeds, will be joined at the airport by her mother, Helen Allen, and nurse Carol Simpson of the Candlelighters charity.
And the whole event will be covered by Emmerdale actress Glenda McKay, who plays Rachel Hughes in the YTV soap, who will interview Jayne and Red Arrows members for her Radio Leeds programme.
Squadron leader Tony Cunnane, the Red Arrows public relations officer, said although no show was scheduled at the airport, it was hoped lots of people would turn up.
l The 11-strong team is due to arrive at the airport on Saturday at 5.20pm and all aircraft will be parked in front of the terminal below the Take Off Cafe.
At 10.15am on Sunday a single Hawk Jet will take off for Teeside Airport and at 10.30am the presentation will be made to Jayne Allen.
The full team will leave for Redcar at just before 1pm and will return around half an hour later.
The team will finally leave for Scotland at 3.15pm.
