WITH rain again affecting the Leeds League programme Division Two leaders Pool were left kicking their heels when their game against New Rover was called off. Their local challengers Otley Town were also out of action with their game at home to Colton called off but in Division One Woodhouse extended their lead to 11 points.
Esholt were in action at home to Kirkstall but managed only a 25 overs a side encounter.
Esholt however knocked up 182-4 with Mohamed Wasim making an unbeaten 46 and Mazwar Bhatti 53. Kirkstall replied with 178-6 with Wasim showing his all round talents by taking 3-67 off 13 overs. For Kirkstall Matt Keeling made 67.
In Division Two Olicanians made 135-8 against Pool Mills with Mick Fletcher top scoring with an unbeaten 60 and S Firth making 28. Jamie Wilkinson returned 4-86 for Mills who then rubbed off the runs for the loss of seven wickets.
Jeff Bielby made 35 and Ian Grossett 32 for Mills whilst Fletcher took 4-28.
