Steeton first team eased into the next round with a comfortable seven wicket victory over a depleted Haworth side.
Holidays and work commitments meant Haworth were only able to field a nine man side, but scored 142-8,with Godden top scoring with 36. Spragg was the pick of the bowlers with 3-28.
However, Haworth knew that a score of 142 wasn't going to be enough and despite a slight wobble on 25-3, Steeton romped home. Pinniger top scored for Steeton with an unbeaton 72 and was ably supported by Spragg who completed a good game to finish on 42 not out.
Also in the Keighley Cup Harden seconds progressed in a rain effected game at Denholme. None of the Denholme batsmen were able to put together a notable score, Taylor and Flanaghan top scoring with 15. The innings closed on 73-9 off their 25 overs, Freimanis taking 4-42. In response Harden opener Falkingham scored 41 not out in helping them to 75-2.
