Ilkley Juniors Under-13s braved less than summerlike conditions as they signed off their Under-13 season with a winner's trophy at Horsfall Stadium.
With two wins and two draws Ilkley progressed to a semi-final challenge with old adversaries Bolton Woods.
In a robust game of few openings both sides were left facing the inevitable penalty shoot out.
On this occasion Ilkley showed great nerve as Mat Earnshaw led his team of Daniel Smith, Mat Holmes, Steven Brown, David Tod and Thomas Davidson through the initial five penalties where sudden death saw Daniel Smith save and David Tod score to secure a repeat of last season's final against Sedbergh Crusaders.
With both sides looking to play open football Ilkley peaked at just the right time producing a classy performance as they dominated their way to a final 4-1 victory.
Scorers were Mat Holmes, Daniel Smith, Steven Brown (5), Thomas Davidson (7) and David Tod (7).
