Here follows our weekly round-up of the local people who have appeared at magistrates' Court.

Stuart Andrew Feather, of 15 Hainworth Lane, Ingrow, Keighley, was convicted of assaulting Kathleen O'Connor.

Andrew William Pickles, of 17 Bracken bank Avenue, Keighley, was fined £100 with £50 costs for possessing cannabis.

Michael Watson, of Butterfield, 83 Hainworth Wood Road, Woodhouse, Keighley, was fined £90 with £50 costs for stealing a DSS allowance book. He was also fined £90 for obtaining cash by deception and £25 for failing to surrender to bail.

David Stockdale, of 2 Byrl Street, Lawkholme, Keighley, was ordered to pay a total of £293 for having articles for use in burglary.

David Ian Bradbury, of 55 Canberra Drive, Cross Roads, Keighley, was ordered to pay a total of £139 for speeding while driving on Leeds Road, Thackley.

Andrew Paul Littler, of 2 East Terrace, Cross Roads, Keighley, was fined £40 for failing to stop at traffic lights.

Mohammed Ali Fazal, of 5 Broadlands, Shann Park, Keighley, was ordered to pay a total of £80 for wrongly parking in Beacon Road, Bradford, and for causing litter by dropping a fixed penalty ticket.

John Hutton Escott, of 6 Craven Drive, Silsden, Keighley, was ordered to pay £150 for driving without due care and attention.

Mohammed Najib, of 126 Highfield Lane, Keighley, was ordered to pay a total of £175 for driving without due care and attention and not wearing a seat belt.

Rebecca Hollings, of 44 Greystone Drive, Bracken Bank, Keighley, was fined £120 for driving a car without an MOT certificate and failing to produce documents.

Neil Shimmin, of 3 Buck Street, Denholme, was fined £220 for driving a car without insurance and failing to produce documents.

Stephen John Wadsworth, of 6 Chapel Street, Denholme, Bradford, was ordered to pay the sum of £405, including £200 compensation, for indecent assault.

Gerald Paul Smollen, of 50 Greenside Lane, Cullingworth, was ordered to pay £429 for passing a quantity of amphetamine.

Ross Paul Smollen, of 50 Greenside Lane, Cullingworth, was ordered to pay £279 for being drunk and disorderly and also for possessing amphetamine.

Ghulam Rasool, t/a Rasool Brothers, Property Care, 44 Cark Road, Keighley, was ordered to pay £400 for two offenses under environmental laws concerning disposal of building rubble.

Rodney Bradley, of Lynroyd Cottage, 79 Hebden Road, Haworth, was ordered to pay £335 for driving without insurance along Otley Road, Baildon.

David Charnock, of 43 Browfield Terrace, Silsden, was committed for trial at Bradford Crown Court on two charges of stealing a total of £24,500 from the committee and members of the Catholic Club.

Tahir Mahmood, of 10 Balfour Street, Knowle Park, Keighley, was put on probation for six months for assaulting his wife, Naira Bano.

Neil David Evans, of 20 Beauvais Drive, Riddlesden, was given a one-year conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £60 costs for stealing a radio cassette worth £290 belonging to Mr Motor Stores.

Fined for speeding were: Carol Nash Mellin, of 16 Oakbank Drive, Keighley, £80; and Mohammed Aziz Mhar, of 25 Lodge Gate, Main Road, Denholme, £190.
