The sale of phone-cards could ring in the cash for a cancer-care home.
A couple want people to donate their cards so they can be sold to collectors and dealers to raise cash for Manorlands, the Sue Ryder home at Oxenhope. Chris Weston, of Hainworth Wood Road, Keighley, has been a keen collector since she first bought a phonecard in London about ten years ago.
Her husband Ken has joined her in the fundraising through which they are producing album start-packs for beginners. For the long-time collector, they are attempting to amass a number of small-issue cards to be sold at auction on September 5 at the Great Yorkshire Phonecard Fair at the Anchorman in Elland.
Phonecard collectors and people who want to donate cards are invited to contact Ken or Chris on 606103.
