Otley Golf Club, having been formed in 1906, will celebrate its centenary in 2006 and the club is looking for help in compiling a centenary book.
Since its formation Otley Golf Club has been a major contributor to the sporting life of Wharfedale. During the last 92 years a wealth of memorabilia in the form of articles, photographs, results, stories and even memories have accumulated locally.
Much of this information is fast disappearing as people grow older or leave the area. It is hoped, for instance, that photographs of the old clubhouse on Bradford Road still exists.
The club intend to produce a Centenary Book and would like to include as much information as is available. Please search your memory, your cupboards and even your attic and send whatever you can find to Alan Flowers at Otley Golf Club, West Busk Lane, Otley, LS21 2RS.
