East Morton actor Robert Angell was offered £2,000 for four days work in Hungary to film a chocolate commerial.

Robert, 41, who has appeared in The Saint, To The Manor Born and Brookside, travelled to Budapest, the Hungarian capital, last month. He says he was surprised to be offered the part, and did not even know Hungary had TV adverts.

"I have done foreign commercials before, including advertising the friendliness of the Dutch postal service and petrol in Germany," he says.

Robert believes British actors are often hired for such work because they are cheap, do not get paid royalties and have a good reputation.

In the advert for Pioana chocolate, Robert plays a husband who thinks his wife is having an affair.

Robert says: "He hears his wife with another man. He goes up to the door and listens with a peculiar expression on ihs face. It turns out it's the television that's on and she is eating a chocolate bar. Because he looks so stupid she gives him a piece."
