Keighley police inspector Bob Herbert has captured top prize in a 'What Car' magazine national Land Rover Freelander competition.
Insp Herbert, a policeman for 30 years, has won the free use of a Freelander for a year after completing a car questionnaire.
Steve Westwood, regional sales manager for Land Rover, handed over the vehicle at the Farnell Land Rover Dealership in Guiseley.
Insp Herbert says: "I remember filling out a questionnaire in What Car magazine a while ago, but I never imagined anything would come of it. When I was told that I had won and would have the use of a Land Rover Freelander for a whole year free of charge I couldn't believe my luck."
"The journeys I have planned are endless. I am sure that when the time comes to return the car I will be very reluctant, but I am not thinking about that at the moment. I have a whole 12 months of Freelanding before then."
, and I just can't wait."
