A new prospectus has been designed by Shipley College. The biggest programme the college has produced to date, the publication provides details of the wide range of courses now on offer, from gardening skills and word processing courses to watercolour painting and sessions on how to design your own web page.
Assistant principal at the college Colin Coleman said: "It's bigger than ever as we now offer a weekend college with both leisure activity and qualification courses for people who want to study but who are too busy to come to college in the evenings or find it easier to study on Saturdays.
"The programme also has a new name - Ambitions. This is to remind us that as we can't all win the national lottery there is this vast range of part-time courses to help us to make a change, achieve an ambition or make a difference in some other area of our lives.
"Most of the courses now offer a qualification - a new item on your CV could be just what is needed to help you get that promotion or secure your current employment. Why not learn Italian, German or French for business?"
Postal and telephone enrolment is now available at the college until Wednesday August 26 and to make things easier, full details and an enrolment form are also included in Wednesday's T&A.
From Wednesday September 2, personal enrolment will start in Saltaire, Baildon and Bingley, with all students receiving a wallet with a map and photographs to help newcomers locate their class.
Computing for beginners and professionals is also on offer at the college, and new courses this year include a two-year part-time access to university programmes for adults who want to study during school hours and a professional accountancy qualification (AAT) two evenings each week at both foundation and intermediate levels.
For the first time, the college is also offering a part-time Higher National Certificate in Business.
Mr Coleman added: "Studying in Saltaire can be at any level, beginners to lower degree study, and between any waking hours between 9am to 9pm and on any day, Monday to Saturday - how's that for flexibility?"
