Matthew Elliott writes: I feel a bit sorry for the players because they put a lot of effort in and there were some vital calls that just didn't go our way.
The referee asked the video referee to look for offside from the vital try off the bomb but I thought Jon Scales was tackled when he was in the air.
Another incident saw Jimmy Lowes have the ball stolen and Robbie Paul was disappearing towards the line but the referee had already blown his whistle. I just wish he hadn't got it to his lips as quickly but I am not being critical of the referee.
If you look at the whole match though we probably did well to be still in it at half-time. Again we started slowly and allowed St Helens to offload the ball. When we addressed that I thought we closed them down pretty well.
I was also more pleased with our offensive work than I have been for quite some time and you have to give St Helens credit for coming up with some really important tackles on occasions.
