It was nice to see us create so many chances, but it would also have been nice if we could have put one or two of them away.
I am disappointed with the result, but there is hope. The performance was a lot better than Stockport, and I thought Isaiah Rankin did very well and will cause defences plenty of problems this year.
We should have won the game. Their goal was a very good cross and a good header, which Walshie was unlucky not to keep out. That was disappointing as they didn't really put us under any pressure.
Last season it was a failing of ours to panic a little whenever we came under any pressure. The goal came from a corner where we had a free header which went straight to their lad. And then when the ball came across two of our lads got in each others way.
But it is important we don't let our heads go down as there is a long way to go. I am much more hopeful than I was last week after the Stockport game. For me that was a big improvement. If we create chances like that then we will be hard pressed not to win games.
