Motor Sport: East Keswick's Ben Hemingway headed to Ramsgill with his Beta and won the Kathleen Cockshott Memorial Trophy at the Yeadon and Guiseley club's trial.
Otley rider Gerald Rathmell won the clubman class, while Henry Moorhouse beat Jonny Starmer for the youth award.
Unfortunately the event ended on a sour note with the theft of a competitor's GasGas machine from its trailer outside the Water Mill Restaurant.
Australian trials riding couple Dean and Rachael Nuttall took part in the Craven MC Trial at Horton in Ribblesdale, but Skipton housebuilder Nathan Wrigglesworth emerged overall victor.
Keighley's Bobby Fryers rang the changes in the Yorkshire Auto Trader Hillclimb Championship at Harewood, taking enough points to grab the lead in the series with just one round to go on September 13.
The Renault Clio driver has a fractional points lead over Guisborough's Colin Stewart, but both are in danger from Settle's Jonathon Mounsey in the mighty Sapphire Cosworth, though only a full point separates the top five.
Dougie Lampkin rounded off his World Championship outdoor battles with a convincing win on Sunday at Hverenbukta, near Oslo, where he ran away with the final qualifier from Honda-mounted Takahisa Fujinami and Spanish teenager David Cobos.
The Silsden champion, though, had to accept second spot on Saturday behind Marc Colomer after stopping in two sections and dropping ten marks.
That loss more or less handed Colomer his second world trial win this year, which at least gives the Spaniard a little more bargaining power for his 1999 contract terms.
Colomer was down in seventh place on the rocky Norwegian course, which allowed for very few errors and no chance of a climb after mistakes.
Only four British riders have made the world points this year - Lampkin, Jarvis, Colley and Bingley teenager Martin Crosswaite, who grabbed two points at the British round at Hawkstone Park.
Crosswaite failed by the narrowest margin, a tie-break, at Fell Green, near Bootle, on Sunday, where he lost the top prize in the Bootles Scrambles Club's National ACU Clubman Championship event to Sheffield's Dan Thorpe.
It was tight all the way as East Yorkshire rider Ian Austermuhle (Rathmell Scorpa) was looking a likely winner until he lost one extra penalty over Crosswaite's score.
Ilkley's Graham Tales finished fourth to keep his chances of a high finishing position in the championship alive.
Lampkin heads for Germany early next month for the last round of the European Championship - a title he held four years ago - but without the No 1 riding bib that normally adorns his frame.
"I'm going with my brother Harry and cousin James to the German round as their 'minder' - they have run about after me all year at the world events, James as official minder and mechanic, so I thought it would be a good chance to repay them for all their work this year. It will be me in the minder's overalls, and probably taking the verbals as well."
Well worth a mention is the Malhamdale Show fixture on August 29, where, after last year's great show, the Lampkin Display Team will again entertain spectators on the obstacle course in the central arena.
Harry Lampkin is in charge, Dougie may be present if factory duties allow, and Dan and Ben Hemingway will be there.
