Paul Jewell writes: You have to be pleased with coming back from being a goal behind twice during a game. They are a quality side, as Sky kept reminding me during an interview after the game, and I thought we did all right.
In the first 15 or 20 minutes we were on top and they scored against the run of play. But then, to be fair, they controlled it before we got back in the game with Isaiah Rankin's goal.
And the second half was very similar to the first with another goal against the run of play despite us starting well. It was a poor goal to concede from our point of view.
That was probably Isaiah Rankin's quietest game so far. I think he was a little bit anxious and a little bit nervous with it being his home debut. But to score two goals in his last two games will hopefully take the pressure off.
At 2-1 with 15 minutes to go I thought that was it. I have just told the players that they seemed to have settled for a 2-1 defeat, which is not good enough. We must show more belief in ourselves.
The most pleasing thing for us is both strikers getting off the mark.
Bolton are a good side but although they passed it round a few times I can't remember Gary Walsh having that many saves to make.
