TO SAY I was disappointed after Friday's game against Featherstone is a bit of an understatement. To be so much in control of a game, and then throw it away, is just ridiculous.
For most of the game Fev just weren't in the same league as us, and then within 10 minutes they had taken everything we had worked so hard for.
We just relaxed defensively after going 18-4 ahead, and you just cannot get away with letting your guard down no matter how much you feel to be in charge of things.
They are lessons we are learning the hard way.
Jamie Benn has had to go back to Castleford, we tried to keep him for a further period, but Cass decided to let him go on loan to York.
I will be working to bring him to the club full time if at all possible over the winter.
Jason Lee will also be out of action this weekend after suffering a knee problem, but he won't be idle. While the rest of the lads will be getting ready for the Hull game he will be starting the Cowling to Sutton pram race. It should be a fun day and all money raised is going to the British Epilepsy Association.
The fun starts at the Black Bull, Cowling, at 11am.
Several players will be at Haworth Gala on Monday. Fred Sapatu and a few others will see you on the cricket field at the top of the village.
Freddie Cougar and some of the boys will also be at the Devonshire Park Fun Day on Sunday, and I'm told they will be taking part in the tug-of-war at 2pm.
ONE of the most closely guarded secrets of Cougar Park will be revealed on Thursday, when the Supporters Club Player of the Season is presented with his award.
The supporters night is being held at Cougar Park, starting at 7.30.
Many of the boys will be there and it is a good chance to meet and get to know everyone at the club.
I hope to see everyone down there and can't wait to find out whose name is on the trophy.
This really is the one award which means a lot to the players.
