A major new exhibition of landscape paintings opened this week at Keighley's Cliffe Castle Museum.
The exhibition Landscape in Art brings many paintings from Bradford council's extensive collections into the public eye. It looks at landscape through the ages, whether urban or pastoral, traditional or abstract, local or exotic.
Lowry's massive 'Industrial Landscape, Ashton-Under-Lyne', painted in the artist's distinctive style, is probably the best-known picture on display.
Museum staff say there are many other interesting pictures that most people will not be familiar with.
Landscape in Art runs until October 11 at the museum, which is open every day except Monday. Admission is free.
On display in the gallery above is a temporary exhibition of artwork by local people with learning disabilities, entitled Ring of Bright Doughnuts.
