Audacious thieves stole all four wheels from company director Ray Marrison's £20,000 sports car - while it was parked in East Morton's Main Street.
Ray, pictured above with the car, is financial director with Bradford-based Urban Planters Ltd. She had left the year-old, top of the range MGF on the street overnight.
On Tuesday she got up early for a board meeting at the company, of which husband David is managing director. "A man who was out walking his dog knocked on the door and told me the news," she says. "I couldn't believe anyone could have the nerve to jack up the car and take off the wheels in such a quiet village."
Police suspect the man is linked to incidents of theft and damage elsewhere in the village on the same night. He is described as white, in his late teens or early 20s, with short dark hair, medium build and wearing black or dark clothes.
