A woman was mugged as she walked home through Ingrow in the early hours of Monday. She was punched and knocked to the ground when she tried to stop a man stealing her purse.
The woman, 22, was walking along Queens Road at 1.15am when she was approached from behind by the Asian man. He grabbed the purse and after a struggle escaped with the purse.
He is described as about 5ft 6in tall, slim with black hair, bushy on top and short at the sides and top. He wore a dark check long-sleeved coat, dark jeans and white trainers.
A burglar sneaked into a house in Ingrow Lane early on Saturday morning while the occupant was in the garden.
The thief hid in a cupboard under the stairs when the householder returned, then escaped with cash.
The householder had left the back door open for a minute or two at around 2.30am.
The suspect is described as white, slim and 6ft tall.
Keighley police have confirmed they are investigating a series of burglaries at public houses in the Silsden and Keighley areas.
Insp Mick Hopwood says a local man has been charged with burglary of a pub in Silsden. He was bailed to appear before Bingley magistrates at a later date.
"Enquiries are continuing," adds Insp Hopwood.
