Government minister John Battle is to visit Keighley. The Minister for Science, Energy and Industry will speak to Labour members and the public at the party headquarters in Devonshire Street next Friday, September 4, at 7.30pm.
Local MP Ann Cryer says she is pleased that he has accepted the invitation to come and talk to people in Keighley. "John has one of the most important briefs in the government," she says. "He is the minister with responsibility for many important areas of telecommunications, energy, including the coal and nuclear industries, and science. He is one of the most enthusiastic ministers in the government and his talks are always interesting and informative."
Anyone wishing to attend should contact Mrs Cryer's office on 210083.
