A whirlpool company is cleaning up orders throughout the UK as one of its founders takes sole control of the firm.
Robert Bolton has bought the major shareholding of Keighley whirlpool and spa manufacturer Bronte Whirlpools from co-directors Patrick and Elaine Quirk who are retiring.
Mr Bolton and Mr Quirk set up the business in 1984 after working for a bathroom firm together for a number of years.
The pair saw there was a lot of potential in the manufacture and sale of whirlpools after carrying out research for their former employers.
The company, which has seen its turnover grow by 140 per cent in the last five years, has grown by working with a number of firms around the country which promote its whirlpools made at the Dalton Lane factory.
Mr Bolton said: "We came through the recession a few years ago and, instead of taking a large amount of cash for ourselves, we ploughed it back into the company."
Mr Bolton said the company also had a name for quality because it was a member of the British Bathroom Council.
In the next 12 months Mr Bolton plans to expand the firm by introducing new products and gaining extra sales.
He also expects to take on extra staff to add to the eight currently employed by the firm.
The firm started in premises in Springfield Mills, Oakworth Road in Keighley and six years ago moved to a larger building called Chesham House.
