Bulls new boy Harvey Howard has spoken of the relief in the camp after yesterday's vital 24-8 victory over Castleford Tigers which puts them firmly on course for the play-offs.

Weekend defeats for fifth spot rivals Sheffield and London have put the Bulls back in the driving seat even though they visit the Broncos on Sunday especially with home games against struggling Salford and Warrington still to come.

"We've got something to work off," said the powerful prop whose body clock was still playing havoc following his long flight from Sydney on Friday.

"I'm quite happy, especially as I have been up since four o'clock. We desperately needed a win.

"It was a tough game and it took a long time to wear them down. But we have to be happy with the outcome."

Coach Matthew Elliott was also smiling again following his after match outburst at Halifax last week.

"It was good to get that win under our belts. It was testimony to the players' character. We've got to put in another good performance at London next week.

"I thought the core of our team Jimmy Lowes, Graeme Bradley and Brian McDermott were awesome and when your senior players set such high standards it is easier for others to follow."
