Non-League Round-Up: It turned into a miserable holiday weekend for Bradford Park Avenue when they slumped to their second defeat in three days in the UniBond League Division One - 2-0 at Radcliffe Borough - one of only three sides below them.
They were undone by goals in the first and 87th minutes of an otherwise even contest but the loss allowed the home side to trade places with them and left Avenue as the only side in the division yet to score.
Just 50 seconds into the game a mix-up between keeper Karl Lenaghan and defender Shaun Hutchinson gave Tony Carroll the opportunity to intercept and his narrow angled shot crept in off the far post.
Hutchinson was forced off with an injury in the 13th minute which was a change that came in between two good chances for Avenue's Christian Annan.
He blazed wide from a good position in the tenth minute but saw a later effort cleared off the line by centre back Alex Jones when Borough keeper Steve Berryman was well beaten.
There were second half chances for Stephen Ball and Martin McClennon before the home side put the result beyond doubt when they produced a strike out of the blue. Carroll shook off his marker on the edge of the area and released a shot on the turn that beat Lenaghan on his left hand post.
Guiseley were beaten 1-0 at last season's relegated Conference side Gateshead, by virtue of a late second half strike.
In a game of few chances the visitors came close early when Mick Morrell headed just wide from Colin Hunter's 11th minute cross.
In the second half they won two free kicks in dangerous areas and also saw Des Hazel hit a snap shot just wide, before the home side hit the winner. Poor defending allowed Keith Fletcher space in the area and he stabbed in a low shot.
In Division One Farsley Celtic suffered a 3-0 home defeat when newly promoted Hucknall Town hit them with a three goal salvo in a ten minute first half spell.
Craig Maddison netted the first in the 21st minute with a direct free kick that passed through the wall and under keeper Liam Sutcliffe.
Matt Edwards effectively won the match with strikes in the 29th and 31st minutes. On both occasions Hucknall profited from unconvincing defending and Edwards was on hand to thrash home shots from inside the area.
Thackley made it an enjoyable holiday break by earning their second win in three days in the Northern Counties East Premier Division. They ran out 3-0 victors over Pickering Town to follow Saturday's 5-0 stroll over Pontefract Collieries.
Andy Carlton, who had only opened his account for his new club in the last game, gave Thackley a first half lead when he crashed a shot in off the underside of the bar in the 25th minute.
Stuart Taylor sealed the win with a second half brace. He got in front of his marker to stroke in a close range effort shortly after the interval and then turned brilliantly to lash in a 12-yard shot in the 76th minute.
In the same division Eccleshill United lost their unbeaten start when they conceded a late goal to slip to a 1-0 defeat at Denaby United.
United keeper Graeme Waterworth could only parry an 84th minute effort from Jamie Robshaw and Craig Watt pounced to shoot the loose ball home.
Liversedge cruised to a 5-1 win over promoted Staveley MW to take their tally to nine points and elevate them to third in the table.
A double from Craig Gomersall set them on the way and Danny Toronczak had a third before the visitors' Dean Thompson was dismissed for foul and abusive language.
Staveley's Neil Tilley then put through his own goal before substitute Lee Innes, who had been on for just four minutes, wrapped up the scoring.
