Motor Sport: Steve Colley defeated world champion Dougie Lampkin in the Isle of Man on Sunday where he won his sixth Manx Sword of State at the end of the Manx Two Day Trial.
Colley lost one penalty to take the top prize, Lampkin lost three marks on the 90 section course, his last mark on the very last section at Windy Corner.
Bingley teenager Martin Crosswaite put in a cracking ride that earned him third spot out of the 250 riders while Wayne Braybrook kept the local hopes flying with fifth spot.
Robin Luscombe and Wayne Kershaw ran away with the sidecar prize to win yet another Manx sword, Luscombe has no less than 13 swords to date. It was his 13th Manx victory, Kershaw now has seven swords in his role as passenger.
Robin and Gill Morewood were second with Bingley airline pilot Bernie Chambers and passenger Mick Parrot in third spot on their GasGas machine.
Yorkshire riders took a major share of the solo awards both in expert and clubman classes.
Bradford grass track rider Peter Knowles raced his RMS Jawa to a trophy winning victory on Sunday at the Pickering MC grass track near Malton where his efforts were rewarded with the coveted Andy Baker Trophy.
The big attraction at the track was the appearance of former British sidecar champion Alan Blewitt with his son John acting as passenger in their grand finale winning ride.
