Athletics: Bingley Ladies compete in the Northern Inter-Club Championships final at Blackpool on Sunday.
The girls are in the middle of a busy three week schedule.
After finishing third at Bedford in the Jubilee Plate Trophy final last weekend, Bingley are aiming for even better things this time.
The squad are up against some top opposition as National League teams Trafford and Wakefield plus Middlesbrough and Cleveland and Rotherham form the opposition alongside host club Blackpool and Fylde, Border and Hull Achilles.
Next week the squad will be in Stafford looking to secure National League status as they have qualified for the play off finals.
One young Bingley athlete who was in inspired form last week was Oliver Brewer, in a combined event meeting at Hexham. Oliver set a new track record for an under-15 in the 800m with a time of 2min 09sec.
He also cleared 1m 65cm in the high jump and a personal best 10.70m in the shot to finish event runner up with 2,698 points and Bingley newcomer Mathew Savage was eighth with 1,385 points.
As the track season comes to a close, the Complete Runner sponsored West Yorkshire League will be decided at Princess Mary's Track, Cleckheaton on Sunday.
Fell runners will be heading to Bradley, three miles south of Skipton for the Family Day Fell Race.
The action starts at 3.30pm with races for Under-nines, 12s, 14s and 17s while the senior race gets underway at 4.30pm.
Entries will only be taken on the day with the fee being £2. The four and a half mile course with 675 feet of climbing has a local record holder in "Alfie" Atkinson of Keighley and Craven with his 1996 time of 23min 29sec and the ladies best belongs to Bingley's Carol Greenwood with her 29min 12sec time set last year.
