Cancer victim Lynda Fox, whose greatest wish to have a beauty make-over was granted by the Telegraph & Argus, has had a fund set up in her memory.
Mike Craig, manager of the Riva Bingo and Social Club in Tong Street, decided to set up The Lynda Fox Riva Fund as a legacy to the courage of Lynda.
The brave 44-year-old, of Dawson Mount, Bierley, lost her battle with the disease in June this year after first being diagnosed with stomach cancer over three years ago.
Only a day before she died the T&A organised a make-over helped by local companies after Lynda confided to friends she'd always wanted one.
Her death left her five sisters and two brothers devastated and Mr Craig thought it would be appropriate for the fund to be set up as a fitting tribute to Lynda, a regular at his club.
He said: "Lynda was a very special lady and there was just such a feeling of goodness from her family and friends that I wanted to do something.
"We used to have a good citizen of the month award which gave £25 to the winner but with this fund there will be about £300 available at the end of every month from Riva Bingo.
"If anybody's desperate for help or has problems we can help out in the short term. Obviously we will have to check their story out first but the fund is there so some good can still be done even after Lynda's death."
As a final goodbye to Lynda her family joined up with close friends for a tribute night at the Shoulder of Mutton Pub in Shelf last week.
One of Lynda's sisters, Velma Field, presented a cheque for over £1,000 raised by friends and family to Brian Curran of the Marie Curie Cancer Care charity's Bradford branch.
Professional portraits taken by the T&A were presented to Lynda's brothers and sisters as well as commemorative clocks with the portrait inside them.
It was a particularly emotional night as Lynda would have celebrated her 45th birthday the next day and her favourite song Whitney Houston's 'I will always love you' was sung by her five sisters and friends.
Sister Dorothy Cargill, 52, of Shelf, said: "Mike has been absolutely brilliant. It's lovely to know Lynda's memory will live on and help other people.
