Bradford City have engaged TV soccer pundit Jimmy Hill to be their expert witness in the Gordon Watson compensation trial next month.
The case has been set to start on Monday, October 19 and is set to last for ten days.
Watson was out of action for 18 months after breaking his leg in two places following a tackle by Huddersfield Town defender Kevin Gray in a match at Valley Parade on February 1 last year.
Four separate cases will be heard at the trial - Watson versus Town and Gray and City versus Town and Gray.
Chairman Geoffrey Richmond said: "Jimmy Hill has been engaged by us because of his extensive knowledge of the game.
"He is a well known media figure, highly respected and knowledgeable."
Richmond revealed that Hill had watched a video of the Watson-Gray incident from different angles and had also studied frame-by-frame photographs.
